**Chandrayaan-3 Mission Update: Vikram Lander Enters Sleep State**

In a significant development for India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, the Vikram lander was placed in sleep mode at around 08:00 hours today. IST. This is an important step in the progress of the mission.

Several in-situ tests were conducted with ChaSTE, RAMBHA-LP, and ILSA payloads at the new landing site before entering sleep mode. Data collected from these experiments have been successfully sent back to Earth for analysis.

Once the tests have been completed, all payload power has been switched off, while the lander receivers remain active, waiting for the next command.

The next milestone for the Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover is their much-anticipated wake-up, which is expected around September 22, 2023. The wake-up relies on solar depletion and battery disposal.

With this update, we have released images capturing the state of the lander before and after the hop, providing a glimpse into the progress of the mission and the challenging terrain it encountered.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Chandrayaan-3 mission as India continues its space exploration efforts. #Chandrayaan_3 🚀🌕
